In this hybrid mocku-narrative, high-performing superstar saleswoman Agatha Ruby's rise to capitalistic fame and fortune is undercut by her sudden and mysterious death at the hands of what could be her most jealous rivals.
Through the ensuing murder investigation, and through interviews with her close circle, hidden layers of family, friend and job complexities are revealed, along with gender bias against women like Aggie, who seek to rise to the top in a competitive career.
As we learn more about her struggles, isolation and career alienation, we come to consider - all may not have been happiness and blind success in her private and professional life. We're asked the question - can reaching for the stars be sometimes fatal choices for super-achieving women?
Death of a Saleswoman features 33 actors, 10 locations and 185 lbs. of plastic storage ware. A full-time crew of 4 people in the Production Design department were hired solely to manage, dress, light, move and re-pack the plastic storage ware used throughout filming.
Intended for a general family audience, the film features a nod to Sunset Blvd; using a deceased narrator, as lead character, explaining bit by bit in flashback, mixed with present day, what happened to her. And how she came to lose her hard-won storage ware dynasty to pettiness and corruption.
Not rated. TRT 89 mins. Color, Black & White. Family-friendly. (c) GND PRODS, All Rights Reserved.

A non-linear hybrid structure and mocku-narrative genre allows the audience to meet the many suspects via Agatha’s post-murder narration, then move through the investigation in real time, with the authorities investigating.
